My family has been in Paia for over 100 years. My great grandparents came from the Philippines to work for the sugar plantation. My father bought land in Skill Village in 1987 and built our family home where we still reside. I am currently a Social Studies teacher at Maui High School and I coach the canoe paddling and surf team at our school.
